Installation Guide - Lower Shelvings
Measure and determine the heights of shelvings
The heights of 2 lower shelvings depend on things you plan store under them. Here is the one we use.
Once you have decided the heights of the shelvings, use dry-erase marker or pencil to draw the lines on the wall, to be align with the top of the brackets. use the same 2-dot method used for upper shelvings to make sure the lines are parallel with the floor.
After the lines are drawn, use tape measure to make sure the line on the left wall is at the same height of lines on the right wall.
Place the brackets on the wall with double-sided tape
Peel off the backing of double-sided tape on brackets, align them with the lines drawn in previous steps. the back of the brackets should be push all the way against the back wall. Firmly press them against the side wall.
Drill pilot holes
Use a 1/16 drill bit to drill shallow pilot holes for the left brackets.
For the right brackets, first drill the pilot holes on the right wall, but before you drill the pilot holes on the back wall (the one for the L shaped end), check if the wall was installed at a slight angle as shown below, if so you will need to push the end of the 2 brackets to the right by 1/16" or so, otherwise the rod will not fit. take a stainless rod and see if rod will fit.
Screw the brackets onto the wall
Align the "L" shaped front bracket with the back bracket, then use the 2 of the 3 provided 3/4 inch (longer) screw to screw them onto the left side wall.
Drive the 5/8 screws into the wall for the rest of screw holes on brackets.
Snap in stainless steel rods
This process is the same as the upper shelving.
